The Anne Judith will offer custom charters in remote areas that see little to no boat traffic, with a focus on the Malukus, East Sumbawa, Sumba, and a newly discovered area between Mentawais and Telos.
The new owners have refitted her for increased autonomy and remote surf discovery, and scaled down the occupancy to six guests, making this the perfect choice for groups of friends and families.
The Anne Judith’s accommodation consists of three comfortable cabins, one with four large single beds; the other two are suites w/double beds and a private shower. All three cabins are fully air-conditioned and feature plenty of storage space. Our dining room seats 8 guests comfortably. Our cook Wayan will surprise you with freshly coal grilled specialties from our outside BBQ, his monstrous omelettes will welcome you from a morning surf, and afternoon snacks are always out. We have a cosy hang-out area out by the bow that is a preferred sunset spot and watch movies most nights on our TV/DVD player. Beers are always cold and complimentary. We have two gen-sets that ensure your shower is always warm & the AC cold, state of the art navigation equipment, and a sat-phone for calls home when we’re in remote areas, which is, well, most of the time!
The focus of our travel will be in Sumbawa/Sumba/Timor from Feb-April & Oct-Nov, Malukus in January, and remote Mentawais from July-Sept. We are absolutely obsessive about finding empty surf and can guarantee you will rarely see another soul out in the water in the areas the boat goes to. The conditions vary from 2 ft and fun to 10 ft and heavy, lefts and rights, from long walls of carvable fun, to hollow and slabby. In the down days, we have comprehensive fishing and snorkelling gear, and often land the evening’s sushi in the late afternoon in our 14ft dinghy, which is perfect for trolling.
The Anne Judith is manned by five permanent crew members.
Captain Abdul, Chief Engineer Suykur, and First Mate/Cook Wayan have worked alongside each other for 20 years. With that sort of bond and familiarity with the boat, you are assured of a safe and hospitable time aboard her. Rio and Made have recently joined the trio, and together they’ve covered 4,000 miles in the last few months alone. The crew is coordinated from land by Bali-based land manager Fitriani, who oversees all the logistical requirements.
