Mentawais Surf

The Mentawai region is legendary for its epic surf. Powerful Indian Ocean swells hit these reefs and islands all year long, with good surf conditions from February to November and the biggest swells generally in June and July.

A faster boat can beat the crowds and maximize the possibilities. Ideally, a live-aboard surf vessel is accompanied by a smaller speedboat, to check out breaks quickly and access those in shallower water.
